Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

Introduction

ArgueResolver ("we," "our," or "us") helps you understand a disagreement by recording a conversation, turning it into text, and analyzing it with AI. Because that requires sending your recording to services outside your device, this policy explains in plain language exactly what leaves your phone, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.

Information We Collect

Personal Information:

ArgueResolver has no sign-up and no user accounts. We never ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Device Identifier:

When the app first runs it generates a random identifier (a UUID) that is stored in your device's Keychain. It lets our server return your analyses to your device and restore your subscription. It is not derived from your Apple ID, your phone number, or any advertising identifier, and it is not shared with the AI providers described below.

Recordings and Transcripts:

When you record or import a conversation, the audio file is uploaded to our server so it can be transcribed and analyzed. The resulting transcript, the AI analysis, and any messages you send to the in-app AI chat are stored in our database so your past disputes remain available in the app. This content may include personal details if you or the other person mention them while speaking.

Usage and Diagnostics:

We collect app usage events (such as which features are opened), app version, device model, operating system version, approximate country derived from your IP address, and crash reports. We use this to fix bugs and understand which features people use. Your recordings, transcripts, and analyses are never included in this data.

AI Processing and Third-Party AI Providers

ArgueResolver does not run AI models on your device. Analysis is performed by two third-party AI providers, which our server calls on your behalf:

  • A speech-to-text provider (United States) receives the audio recording you chose to record or import, and returns a written transcript with the speakers separated.
  • A large language model provider (currently OpenAI, United States) receives the text transcript of that recording and any message you type into the AI chat, and returns the analysis, summary, and suggested resolution steps.

No name, email address, phone number, account identifier, or advertising identifier is attached to what we send them. Both providers process this content as our processors under their API terms, which do not permit using API content to train their models.

Your Consent Before Anything Is Sent

Nothing leaves your device until you agree to it. Before your first recording, the app shows a screen that explains what is sent, to which kinds of providers, and what is never sent, and asks you to agree before continuing. You can re-read that information at any time in the app under Settings → Legal & Privacy → "AI & Your Data", and you can stop sending anything further at any point by not creating new recordings.

Equal Protection by Our Providers

We only share your content with providers that are contractually required to protect it to the same standard that we apply ourselves. Specifically, each provider that receives your recording or transcript:

  • acts only on our instructions, as our data processor;
  • may not use your content to train its AI models or for any purpose of its own;
  • may not sell your content or disclose it to further parties, except as required by law;
  • is bound by confidentiality obligations and must apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures, including encryption in transit;
  • must delete the content on our instruction.

Where content is processed outside your country, those transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent legal safeguard, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

Other Services We Use

  • Our own server and database (hosted in the EU) — stores your transcripts, analyses, chat history, device identifier, and notification token.
  • PostHog (EU) — product analytics and crash reporting, as described under "Usage and Diagnostics."
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription status and purchase restoration.
  • Apple (Search Ads attribution) and TikTok — measure which advertising campaign led to an install. Your advertising identifier is shared with them only if you allow tracking when asked; declining does not limit any feature of the app.
  • Apple Push Notification service (via Expo) — delivers the notification telling you an analysis is ready.

What We Never Do

  • We never sell or trade your data.
  • We never send your recordings, transcripts, or analyses to advertising or analytics services.
  • We never use your recordings to train AI models.
  • We never collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.

How We Use Your Information

  • Transcribe and analyze the conversations you record
  • Show your past disputes, transcripts, and analyses in the app
  • Answer your questions in the in-app AI chat
  • Notify you when an analysis is ready
  • Manage your subscription
  • Fix crashes and improve the app
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Apart from the providers listed above, which process data on our behalf so the app can work, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and our database connection is encrypted. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your disputes remain available until you delete them. Deleting a dispute in the app deletes its recording, transcript, analysis, and chat history from our server. Deleting the app removes the local copies stored on your device. If you would like everything associated with your device identifier erased, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.

App Permissions

  • Microphone — used only while you are actively recording a dispute, including when the screen is off. Recording starts only when you tap the record button.
  • Speech recognition — used to turn your recordings into text.
  • Tracking — if you allow it, used solely to measure which advertising campaign led to an install.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the disputes and analyses stored for your device
  • Delete your data (by deleting individual disputes in the app, or by contacting us to erase everything)
  • Ask what data we hold and how it is processed
  • Contact us with any privacy concerns

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date above.
